Delta Rock® Private Equity & Permanent Capital
Owned, not flipped.
Founder- and family-owned businesses. Our own capital. No clock to sell.
The Premise
A business built over a lifetime should not be bought on a five-year clock.
Private equity is holding longer than it ever has and starting to resemble a holding company. We skip the fund clock altogether. There is no date on which a business we own must be sold, no fund life, no forced exit.
The default is to hold and hand the equity forward to the generations to come. A sale happens only when the price and the moment make the case, for the business and for the family that built it.
How We Own
Four Terms, Stated Up Front.
Our Own Capital
The capital is the firm's and its principals'. Where a transaction warrants it, we bring partners in.
Control Or Minority
We take control where an owner wants a successor and a minority position where an owner wants a partner. Both, as the business requires.
Where We Add Value
No sector mandate. We buy where our expertise changes the outcome: technology, digital transformation, software, artificial intelligence, and automation.
The Owner's Side Of The Table
Owners who sell to us are encouraged, in writing, to retain independent counsel and their own advisors. If we have advised an owner, we step out of that seat before we make an offer.
Ownership carries an obligation to understand what made a business worth acquiring. Our task is to recognize what should endure, identify where we can contribute, and consider what the next generation will inherit.
For Owners Thinking Ahead
If you built a business and want to know what a long-term owner looks like, the first conversation is about the business, its people, and its next decade, not the price.
